Tech Talk for Friday May 14th 2021

U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning. S&P 500 futures were up 20 points in pre-opening trade.

Equity index futures moved lower following release of April Retail Sales at 8:30 AM EDT. Consensus was an increase of 1.0% versus a gain of 9.7% in March. Actual was unchanged. Excluding auto sales, consensus was an increase of 0.9% versus a gain of 0.6% in March. Actual was down 0.8%.

Walt Disney dropped $8.94 to $169.40 after reporting lower than consensus new subscriptions.

Cisco added $0.26 to $52.75 after Raymond James raised its target price from $50 to $55.

DoorDash added $10.51 to $126.00 after reporting higher than consensus first quarter earnings.

General Electric improved $0.18 to $13.15 after Citigroup reiterated its Buy recommendation.
