The speakers included Islamic faith leaders, scholars, activists and journalists. They spoke at the Islamic Society of North America's (ISNA) annual convention in Detroit, Michigan on August 29, 2014. The panelists included Maryam Amirebrahimi (Religious Scholar & Activist), Zahra Billoo (Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SFBA), San Francisco), Mehdi Hasan (Political Director Huffington Post-United Kingdom), Haroon Moghul (Fellow (Former) Fordham University School of Law - Center on National Security), and Mansoor Sabree (Imam Atlanta (GA) Masjid of Al-Islam).This talk was broadcast on C-Span on August 29, 2014.C-SPAN, an acronym for Cable-Satellite Public Affairs Network, is an American cable and satellite television network that was created in 1979 by the cable television industry as a public service.
