In this episode, Franco-Nevada CEO David Harquail takes to the stage at The Northern Miner's Canadian Mining Symposium at Canada House in London in May 2019 to speak in his role as chair of the World Gold Council.

David talks about how the WGC's focus has changed over the years from promoting gold jewellery consumption to promoting institutional gold investing, and what the WGC is doing today in this area.

With 26 members comprising most of the world's senior gold miners, the World Gold Council says its purpose is to "stimulate and sustain demand for gold, provide industry leadership, and be the global authority on the gold market."
