Despite some analysts predicting that we are about to, or have already, reached peak gold, one miner is continuing record production.
Teranga Gold has been steadily increasing reserves at their flagship West African project, the Sabodala Gold Mine, this according to Sepantra Dorri, VP of corporate development of Teranga Gold.
"We've had a great job of not only reconciling but also increasing reserves at Sabodala. At the time of its IPO, Sabodala had initial reserves of 1.4 million ounces, and now one and a half million ounces of production later, Sabodala still has a reserve life of 13 years and 2.7 million ounces remaining," Dorri told Kitco News on the sidelines of the Swiss Mining Institute conference in Zurich.
