The European ferro-titanium spot price increased, with prices moving up on the low end of the range, after supply worries involving a major supplier prompted short-covering. Ferro-titanium producers and traders say they have been getting more buying interest from Europe and the United States. The producer typically offers at least 350 tonnes a month to the spot market, sources said. World production capacity of 70% grade ferro-titanium is estimated to be about 65,000-70,000 tonnes per year, although not all of that is utilized.
