TJ Maxx Slashes Diamond Prices by 75%

(IDEX Online) - British stores run by TJ Maxx are cutting the price of diamond rings by as much as 75 per cent.The global budget retail chain, which brands its 350 UK stores as TK Maxx, is selling a $4,800 14ct white gold ring (pictured) with 0.90ct diamonds (no further details given) for $1,200.A 9ct gold ring with 1-ct tcw of diamonds (again, unspecified) is down from $3,700 to $1,200.The company's website lists 14 items of diamond jewelry with reductions of between 68 per cent and 75 per cent.Last year Asda, one of the UK's biggest supermarket, sold ?, ?1 engagement rings for Valentine's Day.
