Trade Group Appoints New Chairman

RAPAPORT... The Canadian Jewellers Association (CJA) has appointed MarcoMiserendino as chairman of its board of directors, it said Monday. Miserendino (pictured) is the vice president and managing director ofMontreal jewelry store Bijouterie Italienne, which he co-owns with his sister,Paola Miserendino. He is also an Independent Jewellers Organization MasterJeweller. Other members of the board include past co-chairmen UmeshShah of RJB Diamonds and Stephen Cole of Spicer Cole Fine Jewellers, as well asfirst vice chairwoman Lena Nazzaro from Gucci Watch & Jewellery and secondvice chairman Kevin Kaye of Citizen Watch Co. Miserendino will hold the position for the 2018-19 term.
