Trafigura creates new venture for 2GW of renewable power and storage projects

Commodity trader Trafigura has formed a new company to invest in solar power, wind power and power storage projects across the world, the Geneva-based group said on Monday September 28.

The new company, Nala Renewables, has targeted the construction of a portfolio of renewable energy projects with cumulative capacity for 2GW, to be operating within the next five years, the company said.
Nala Renewables has been created as a joint venture with global institutional fund manager IFM Investors, extending the two firms' existing relationship beyond the Impala Terminals joint venture, which was created in 2018.
