RAPAPORT... Digital online marketplace TrueFacet has partnered withseven luxury brands to offer secondhand jewelry and watches directly toconsumers. The site lists pieces from Zenith, Roberto Coin, RaymondWeil, Fendi Timepieces, Faberge, Frederique Constant and Ernst Benz, which havebeen previously owned and subsequently inspected and refurbished by the brands. Those companies supply a certificate ofauthenticity as well as a one-year manufacturer's warranty, and then ship thepurchased item directly to the consumer. That enables the brands to retain control over their products'positioning within the secondhand market, while still offering consumers lowerprices, TrueFacet explained. "The solution brings to the jewelry and watch industry asolution that has proven to work wonders for the brand-certified, pre-owned carmarket," the retailer said. "TrueFacet at once offers another way to satisfyyoung, affluent consumers' appetite for authentic luxury items, at lower pricesin the pre-owned market, with complete transparent sourcing direct from theoriginal brand."
