Tsingshan maintains ferro-chrome tender price for October

Chinese stainless steel producer Tsingshan Group has set its ferro-chrome tender price for October delivery at the same level as the prior month amid steady chrome ore prices and strong stainless steel production in recent months.

The eastern China-headquartered mill set its October high-carbon ferro-chrome tender price at 5,997 yuan ($896) per tonne, for cargoes delivered to warehouse. The price includes value-added tax and should be paid on acceptance. Tsingshan has now maintained the same high-carbon ferro-chrome tender price for three months in a row since August.
The market had broadly anticipated that the October tender price would remain unchanged from given the steady upstream and downstream markets.
