TURKEY FLAT STEEL: Prices keep increasing amid strong demand

Prices for hot-rolled coil and cold-rolled coil in the Turkish market have continued to strengthen during the week to Friday September 11 and further price increases are expected due to high production costs and strong demand, sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets' daily index for steel scrap, HMS 1&2 (80:20 mix), North Europe origin, cfr Turkey was calculated at $297.53 per tonne on Friday, up from $294.78 per tonne on September 4.
