TURKEY LONG STEEL EXPORTS: Limited demand drags down rebar, wire rod prices

Turkish rebar and wire rod export prices fell in the week to Thursday March 25, due to limited demand and falling imported scrap costs, market sources told Fastmarkets.

Steelmakers in the country have been struggling to find buyers for rebar and wire rod since last week and have reduced their offer prices to attract business.
Turkish rebar was on offer at $620-625 per tonne fob on an actual-weight basis, but customers were still seeking prices below $610 per tonne, sources said.
