Sandstorm Gold recently made waves in the mining industry, closing off a deal to acquire Mariana Resources. Even if the deal was first announced in April, Sandstorm CEO Nolan Watson wasn't allowed to speak about until this week. He joins Kitco News in an exclusive interview to talk about what the deal means for the Vancouver-based mining company and the acquisition of the Hot Maden project in Turkey. And according to Watson, the deal comes at an opportune time as he believes Turkey might be a better mining jurisdiction than B.C. right now. "I can tell you that I'm sitting here in beautiful British Columbia right now and I'd rather have a project in Turkey than in B.C. now with our new NDP-Green government...I think they're going to wreak havoc in all resource-based projects here," he said.
