TURKEY STEEL BILLET: Steady scrap costs keep prices unchanged

Turkish steel billet prices have remained stable over the past week thanks to steady imported scrap values, sources said on Thursday January 9.

Billet suppliers in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region have continued to offer material to Turkey at around $420-430 per tonne cfr. But customers in Turkey were only bidding $410 per tonne cfr or less.
