TURKEY STEEL PIPE EXPORTS: Limited demand, lower costs push prices down

Turkish pipe export prices have gone down over the past month amid falling raw materials prices and the limiting effects on demand of the Covid-19 pandemic, sources said on Wednesday April 8.

Fastmarkets' monthly price assessment for steel structural pipe, export, S235JR grade, EN10219, 2mm wall thickness, fob main port Turkey, was $490-500 per tonne on Wednesday, down from $530-540 per tonne on March 11.
Mills in Turkey lowered their offers to $500-510 per tonne for the material because of the soft demand from major buyers, especially in Europe.
