TURKEY STEEL SCRAP: Strong rebar market pushes up domestic prices

Turkish domestic scrap prices have continued to increase over the past week in line with the strengthening domestic rebar market, sources said on Monday June 8.

The domestic rebar market in Turkey has been improving in the past couple of weeks amid the easing in the restrictions under Covid-19 measures, Fastmarkets was told.

Fastmarkets' weekly price assessment for steel reinforcing bar (rebar) domestic, exw Turkey was 3,250-3,300 lira ($481-489) on Thursday June 4, up from 3,230-3,290 lira per tonne previous week, including 18% VAT.
