--Glencore PLC may face a formal bribery investigation in the U.K. over its dealings in the Congo, Bloomberg reports, citing unnamed sources.

--The U.K.'s Serious Fraud Office is planning to seek formal approval for a probe into Glencore's dealings in the Congo, including its work with Israeli billionaire Dan Gertler, says Bloomberg.

--Glencore shares fell over 8% following the report. Glencore declined to comment to Dow Jones Newswires. The SFO wasn't immediately available for comment.
