The iron ore concentrate and pellet segments remain lackluster, with prices underperforming in comparison with the general seaborne market last week.

ConcentrateThe weekly Fastmarkets index for iron ore 66% Fe concentrate, cfr Qingdao stood at $122.88 per tonne last Friday July 19, up $1.03 per tonne from a week earlier.The daily Fastmarkets index for iron ore 65% Fe Brazil-origin fines, cfr Qingdao averaged $128.60 per tonne last week, up $0.66 per tonne compared with an average of $127.94 per tonne cfr in the preceding week.Last week's average for the daily Fastmarkets index for iron ore 62% Fe fines, cfr Qingdao rose $1.39 per tonne to $121.30 per tonne.The movement of the concentrate index was based on visible market activity detailed below, which was included in the calculation of the index according to published methodology.
