Upcoming: Book signing with TNM cartoonist John Kilburn at VRIC

This Sunday, Jan. 21, between 12 pm and 2 pm, attendees of the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference will have a rare opportunity to meet and greet the man behind The Northern Miner‘s beloved cartoons: John Kilburn, a Vancouver-based mining professional who has worked in Western Canada as a mining engineer, broker, journalist, equity analyst and investor.

Taking place at The Northern Miner's booth no. 913, John will be signing copies of The Art and Humour of John Kilburn.

Unique in its scope and ambitions, this anthology gathers the best Northern Miner cartoons created over the last 25 years. Kilburn stylishly captures the mining sector's biggest events over the past quarter century as well as its perennial conundrums with a cast of characters that includes engineers, geologists, miners, promoters, executives and environmentalists. Joining the cast are coal mine canaries, camp dogs and llamas, plus a special appearance by Santa.
