SASKATCHEWAN - Denison Mines of Toronto reports drilling 3.7% uranium oxide over 3.9 metres including 2.8% U3O8 over 1.8 metres during follow-up drilling at the new high grade basement discovery at Waterbury Lake in the eastern part of the Athabasca Basin. The assay came from a hole WAT17-446A about 50 metres along strike to the west of hole WAT17-443, the discovery hole.
Denison is increasing the number of holes this summer at Waterbury Lake to nine from five. Follow-up drilling will be conducted 50-metre intervals as the target remains open in all directions.
The company says it is encouraged by the high grades, apparent continuity of the mineralization, and the degree of structure and alterations at such an early stage of evaluation.
