SASKATCHEWAN - NexGen Energy of Vancouver has compiled a report on the pilot holes for shaft development and additional exploration drilling of the Arrow uranium deposit at its Rook I project near Patterson Lake in the Athabasca Basin.

Three shaft pilot holes were drilled to between 650 and 702 metres and within a 6-metre surface diameter area. Continuous data on sonic velocity, density, normal resistivity, natural gamma, spontaneous potential, mechanical caliper, plus acoustic and optical scans of the borehole walls were recorded. Among other findings, the rock mass appears to be competent, and it is not anticipated that groundwater will be a problem while shaft sinking. Two vertical shafts - for production and ventilation - are planned.

NexGen began a two-stage, 125,000-metre drill program at Arrow last December. The focus in on mine optimization plans based on already published measured and indicated resources. The pre-feasibility study of November 2018 put those numbers at 256.6 million lb. of uranium oxide in 2.8 million indicated tonnes grading 4.04% U3O8 with 234.1 million lb. uranium oxide in the probable reserve estimate.

The Arrow deposit also contains 4.8 million inferred tonnes at 0.86% U3O8 for 91.7 million lb. of uranium oxide.
