SASKATCHEWAN - Vancouver-based NexGen Energy has received assays for the final 31 holes in the South Arrow zone at its Rook I project in the Athabasca Basin.

The results define South Arrow as shallow, sub-parallel stacked mineralized shears located about 400 metres south of the Arrow deposit. The shears are locally anchored by semi-massive to massive pitchblende with uranium mineralization traced over 290 metres.

Some of the highlights from South Arrow include the following:

? AR-17-166c1 intersected 20.5 m at 1.19% uranium oxide including 3.5 metres at 6.21% and an additional 24.5 metres at 1.46% including 5.0 metres at 4.21% and 4.0 metres at 3.33%;
? AR-17-160c1 intersected 13.0 metres at 2.18% U3O8 including 4.0 metres at 6.79% and an additional 19.5 metres at 0.34% including 4.0 metres at 1.01%;
? AR-17-163c1 intersected 22.5 metres at 1.07% U3O8 including 3.9 metres at 5.56%; and
? AR-17-178c1 intersected 11.0 metres at 2.17% U3O8 including 3.5 metres at 6.73% only 142 metres below surface.

NexGen is proceeding with several technical programs to support a pre-feasibility study including geotechnical and hydrogeological work as well as metallurgical tests. The study is to be published in Q3 2018.

Complete South Arrow drill results are contained in the Jan. 15, 2018, news release posted at www.NexGenEnergy.ca.
