URANIUM: NexGen releases winter results, begins summer program

SASKATCHEWAN - Vancouver-based NexGen Energy has released the results of its winter drilling program at the Rook I property in the Athabasca Basin. The work points toward resource expansion at several locations.

One in-fill hole at A2 intersected 33.0 metres at 4.58% uranium oxide including 10.0 metres at 8.78%. Another cut 49.0 metres at 2.93% U3O8 including 12.0 metres at 10.35%. Grades from the A3 in-fill holes were 2.30% U3O8 over 29.0 metres including 13.46% over 4.0 metres.

Step-out drilling from the A2 high grade domain were also promising. One hole assayed 1.27% U3O8 over 62.0 metres including 5.13% over 12.0 metres.

Results from the northeast gap A2 and A3 expansion drilling are promising, as well. One hole cut 43.0 metres of 1.19% U3O8 including 18.0 metres at 2.43%. A separate hole intersected 12.5 metres at 1.51%.

NexGen is working on a preliminary economic assessment for the Arrow deposit at Rook I. Meanwhile, drilling will continued to grow the inferred and indicated resources. Geotechnical, hydrogeological, metallurgical and environmental surveys are also planned.
