US cold-rolled coil prices up; galvanized sheet flat

Galvanized sheet prices in the United States were unchanged in the week to Thursday December 12, while cold-rolled coil prices ticked up slightly amid decent demand ahead of the holiday season - although sources were unsure if that would continue next year.

Fastmarkets' price assessment for steel cold-rolled coil, fob mill US was $38 per hundredweight ($760 per short ton) on December 12, up by 1.3% from $37.50 per cwt ($750 per ton) the week before."I don't want to say [pricing is] stabilized or firm or anything...
