US Commerce Department sets AD duties on imports of aluminium sheet

The United States Department of Commerce issued affirmative preliminary determinations in its anti-dumping duty investigations on common alloy aluminium sheet imports from 18 countries, following the department's affirmative countervailing duty determinations for four of those countries in August.

"The Department's aluminum sheet investigations constitute the broadest US trade enforcement action in two decades," Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said in a release on Friday October 9.Commerce set duties at the following rates in its preliminary determination: Bahrain - 4.21% Brazil - 49.48-136.78% Croatia - 3.22% Egypt - 10.42% Germany - 51.18-352.71% Greece - 2.72% India - 0-47.92% Indonesia - 32.12% Italy - 0-29.13% Oman - 3.53% Romania - 12.51-83.94% Serbia - 11.24-25.84% Slovenia - 4.8% South Africa - 8.98% South Korea - 5.04% Spain - 3.75-23.32% Taiwan - 18.02% Turkey - 12.71-12.9%"As a result of...
