Hot-rolled coil prices in the United States rose to their highest level in more than two months after mills' efforts to raise prices gained additional traction in the market.
Fastmarkets' daily steel hot-rolled coil index, fob mill US was calculated at $25.88 per hundredweight ($517.60 per short ton) on Monday June 8, up by 2.5% from $25.25 per cwt on Friday June 5 and up by 3.6% from $24.98 per cwt a week earlier on June 1.This marks the index's highest since April 3, when the price stood at $25.92 per cwt, according to Fastmarkets' pricing archives.Heard...
