Hot-rolled coil prices in the United States have steamed past $66 per hundredweight ($1,320 per short ton) and still have room to grow, according to market participants.
Fastmarkets' daily steel hot-rolled coil index, fob mill US was calculated at $66.36 per cwt ($1,327.20 per ton) on Wednesday March 24, up by 1.02% from $65.69 per cwt on Tuesday March 23 and 2.42% higher than $64.79 per cwt a week ago.
