The United States' steel imports declined by nearly 18% in December compared with the same month in 2018 but rose by 0.5% sequentially.
Steel mill product imports totaled 1,409,279 tonnes in the final month of last year, according to preliminary data updated on Monday January 27 by the US Commerce Department's Enforcement and Compliance division.
