Vale manganese ore production rises more than 14% in Q3; ferro-alloy output up

Brazil-based miner Vale's manganese ore production for the third quarter rose by 14.5% quarter on quarter to 482,000 tonnes, it said in its latest production report.

The manganese production volume for the September quarter was down 15.3% year on year. Sales reached 553,000 tonnes in the third quarter. As a result, third quarter sales were 19.4% higher than in the second quarter and 19.4% higher year on year.
