Vietnam HRC price edges up on mill maintenance, pre-holiday restocking

The import price for re-rolling-grade hot-rolled coil into Vietnam has risen in the past week on pre-holiday restocking and lower domestic supply.

Fastmarkets MB's weekly import price assessment for HRC in Southeast Asia - which mainly looks at Chinese 2-3mm SAE1006 HRC and equivalent grades sold into Vietnam - was $495-500 per tonne cfr for the week ending Monday January 28, up $5-15 per tonne from $480-495 per tonne cfr the preceding week.
