Vietnam HRC price slide continues on limited demand, lower domestic offers

Hot-rolled coil prices in Vietnam have continued to fall because of limited demand and lower offers from domestic producer Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corp.

Fastmarkets' weekly import price assessment for HRC in Southeast Asia - which mainly looks at Chinese 2-3mm re-rolling-grade SAE1006 HRC and equivalent products sold into Vietnam - was $493-495 per tonne cfr for the week to Monday June 17, down $7-10 per tonne.Back-to-back offers for Chinese and Indian HRC were at $495-505 per tonne cfr Vietnam for July and August-shipment materials.Bids were...
