Vietnam scrap import volumes up 21% over Jan-Aug

Vietnam imported 3.48 million tonnes of ferrous scrap in the first eight months of 2018, a 21% year-on-year increase from 2.88 million tonnes in January-August 2017.

The figures were announced by the General Department of Vietnam Customs on Tuesday September 11.Vietnam is one of the key steelmaking countries in Southeast Asia.
