With excitement back in the mining sector, Lundin Gold CEO Ron Hochstein is optimistic on the sector and gold prices for 2017. Speaking with Kitco News at the BMO conference, he said he would agree that the mining industry seems to be coming back in full force. 'I think the sentiment here, actually it's my 12th time here at BMO and it reminds me of the sentiment back in 2005,' he said. 'There are signs that there may be some interested coming back into the sector.' Hochstein also updates viewers on the Fruta del Norte project in Ecuador - considered the largest undeveloped high-grade gold deposits in the world - which is likely to move along given the Ecuadorian government's interest in working closely with miners in the country.Don't forget to sign up for Kitco News' Weekly Roundup - comes out every Friday to recap the hottest stories & videos of the week:https://connect.kitco.com/subscriptio...Join the conversation @ The Kitco Forums and be part of the premier online community for precious metals investors: https://gold-forum.kitco.com/ -- Or join the conversation on social media: @KitcoNewsNOW on Twitter: https://twitter.com/kitconewsnow --- Kitco News on Facebook: http://facebook.com/kitconews --- Kitco News on Google+: http://google.com/+kitco--- Kitco News on StockTwits: http://stocktwits.com/kitconews
