Work on second-stage expansion at Cauchari-Olaroz lithium site in Argentina commences, Lithium Americas says

Junior miner Lithium Americas has commenced development planning for a second-stage expansion of lithium production capacity at the Cauchari-Olaroz lithium project in Argentina, it said on Friday May 28.

The Cauchari-Olaroz lithium project is situated in the Jujuy province of Argentina and the mine is being developed alongside Chinese lithium major Ganfeng Lithium.
Ganfeng Lithium owns a 51% stake in the mine and Lithium Americas the remaining 49%.
