With gold prices at $1,500 an ounce and most junior exploration companies still not getting capital from investors, what's needed is not another gold price rally but a major exploration in North America to bring investors back into the space, this according to Cal Everett, CEO of Liberty Gold.
"It usually takes a world-class discovery in North America to start a new junior cycle," Everett told Kitco News on the sidelines of the Silver & Gold Summit in San Francisco. "All of these major discoveries are generally found in North America because that's where the risk capital is generally raised."
