World manganese ore production falls 2.5% m-o-m in August - IMnI

Global production volumes of manganese ore fell by 2.5% in August from July, following falls in output from Asia and Oceania, the Americas and CIS, the latest data from the International Manganese Institute (IMnI) shows.

Global production fell to about 1.95 million tonnes of manganese units in August, which represented an increase 0.3% year on year, the latest data shows.

Production from Africa and the Middle East was stable in August at 1.12 million tonnes of manganese units, which was in line with July and 1% higher than in August 2019....
